Wished I got through more books this month. Will need to up my game in February. Here’s how I ranked January’s reading.

1.
Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare
Loved this book. Chain of Iron was the perfect sequel. The standout for me was the character development across a plethora of mains.

2.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Can’t believe it took me this long and a Netflix series to jump into the Grishaverse. It’s got me excited for the next books to come.

3.
Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan
Riordan’s take on Jules Verne’s ‘Nemoverse’ made for great reading. The plot was so good that finishing it was bittersweet given this book is only a standalone

4.
On Writing by Stephen King
This one only takes fourth place simply because I love reading (and writing) the fantasy genre. It was a great read and i recommend it to anyone aspiring to become a writer.

5.
Very Good Lives by J.K. Rowling
This one was more of an inspirational read, but nonetheless still worth it.
